My job is to focus on the learning of the group. Is there a member of the group that you could address that question to?

this sounds like a good opening , clarifying question for one of the group members to ask the problem presenter in order for the group to learn more about the nature of the problem which the presenter just presented to the group. my job is to focus on the group learning, keep the group on time, and help them if they get stuck.

I agree with Eric, it is a good clarifying question and might help the group to understand that whether it is the problem or it’s symptom

I think it is a good question, and a good example as well.
I will just observe the team. If there is a silence, I’ll encourage them to ask more questions like this.

I agree with the comments perceiving this as a valid clarifying question to the problem presenter. I would continue to observe the interactions and wait for a learning opportunity before intervening.

Another one of those trick scenarios — this sounds great to me – no need for me to do anything as a coach.

I think this is one of powerful question for the team. I will let the session running and do nothing until I see the learning opportunities.
