Sumaia Thomas

Director, Coaches

20 years of professional experience in supporting and developing leaders in North American HR companies, including Right Management and Mercer, Sumaia dedicated herself to assessing competences and potentials, application of trainings for the development leaders and teams in different levels. She was also responsible to coordinate Assessment Centers and Focus Groups to enhance the performance of professionals in national and international companies from different segments. Her experience is based on the application of methodologies for self-knowledge and performance improvement with focus on Leadership, Communication, Feedback and Interpersonal Skills.

Seven years ago, she founded Sumaia Thomas Training and Human Development with the aim of guiding professionals to achieve a balance between motherhood and career supporting professionals, leaders and companies in the retention and engagement after maternity leave. In the past two years, she accumulated more than 1000 hours of assistance among pregnant professionals, women and leaders in a program developed by her in partnership with the Benefits team at iFood Company.

During this period, she has also been requested to adapt and deliver leadership journeys using her second language to companies across the globe as an associated consultant to renowned HR consultancy firm.

Sumaia has a bachelor’s degree in Translator and Interpreter, with post-graduate work in People Management Models from FIA/SP. She is certified in Coaching by ICI, in Neurocoaching by Fellipelli and in Action Learning Coaching by WIAL/USA. Sumaia is fluent in Portuguese (her native language) and in English.
