Supporting the Karibu Centre in Nairobi

WIAL Better World promotes Action Learning through pro-bono coaching. WIAL is working with the Karibu Centre, located in a suburb of Nairobi, Kenya. They educate approximately 100 underprivileged pre-schoolers in Swahili and English, to assist them in obtaining placements in state-run Kindergarten. Without both languages, these youngsters are unlikely to start school. In addition to the education component, the Centre employs their parents by giving them work on the Karibu aloe vera farm and in creating soap products for their social enterprise Organic Savanna.

Shannon Banks, Vice-President of WIAL, and a proponent of corporate social responsibly, discusses her involvement in volunteering with this NGO to grow their performance through Action Learning.
