About WIAL USA

THE WORLD INSTITUTE FOR ACTION LEARNING-USA (WIAL-USA)

is a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and advancement of Action Learning in business and government. Simply put, WIAL-USA solves problems, cultivates productive teams, and builds leaders in real time. As organizations face new and increasing pressures, Action Learning is more relevant than ever as an effective solution for solving complex problems and building strong working teams.

Specifically, action learning is remarkable in its ability to:

  • solve problems and challenges with breakthrough and sustaining strategies,
  • develop the leadership skills and qualities needed by twenty-first-century managers,
  • develop teams that continuously improve their capability to form and adapt, and
  • capture, transfer, and apply valuable knowledge at the individual, group, organizational, and community levels.

Additionally, WIAL-USA promotes Action Learning through forums, certification workshops, professional coaching, research, thought leadership, publications and other initiatives.

Dorothy Tsui is a dedicated people and organization development consultant who partners with her clients in formulating solutions that build their organizational and leadership capacity to make positive strategic changes. She started her career in the retail catering and hospitality industry. She has a strong bond with service industries with hands-on experience in frontline operations, business, brand and people management. Her broad consultancy portfolio includes clients from international corporations in finance, retail, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing and IT, as well as government agencies, non-governmental organizations, not-for-profits, and educational institutions. Her clients include global brands such as HSBC, Bank of China, Hewlett-Packard, Disneyland, Cathay Pacific, CBRE, VF Corporation, SWIFT, Chanel, Burberry, Jardine, Heineken, World Vision and Oxfam.

Founding the World Institute for Action Learning (Hong Kong) (WIAL-HK) in 2011, an official international affiliate of the World Institute for Action Learning (WIAL), Dorothy leads Action Learning projects to support organizations to enhance business performance, create learning culture, develop leaders and high potentials, build strong teams, and plot strategic plans. She is a WIAL Senior Action Learning Coach and runs WIAL certification program to develop Action Learn Coaches. She is serving WIAL’s Board as the Director of Certification.

As the co-Principal of Corporation for Positive Change (CPC) and its regional lead in Asia, Dorothy designs and facilitates co-creative engagement processes that are firmly grounded in the strength-based principles of Appreciative Inquiry for positive and lasting change. Dorothy is the first Certified Learning and Performance Professional (CPLP) of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in Hong Kong and has supported CPLP candidates in Asia to go through the certification process. She is one of the ATD’s global facilitators of its official two-day CPLP instructor-led preparation workshop.
