DR. PETER LOAN

Director Emeritus

Peter Loan writes, trains and consults on management and human resource development issues. During more than twenty years of senior management experience in government, non-profit and corporate arenas, Mr. Loan has trained, managed and mentored scores of Peace Corps Country Directors and administrators and thousands of grant managers throughout the United States.  He has guided hundreds of U.S. communities and their overseas partners in managing mutually rewarding relationships.

Mr. Loan holds university degrees in Philosophy, Adult Education and Divinity. He has lived and worked in more than forty countries around the world. His publications include Human Development and the Causes of Global Change” for the Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems, (2002) a UNESCO publication; HRD in the Age of Globalization: A Practical Guide to Workplace Learning in the Third Millennium with Marquardt and Berger, Perseus Books (2004); The Manager as Mentor, with Marquardt, Praeger (2005); and “Review of The New Knowledge Management: Complexity, Learning and Sustainable Innovation by Mark McElroy”, On the Horizon, Vol. 14 Iss: 3, pp.130 – 138 (2006)

Mr. Loan is a certified Master Action Learning coach and lives in Hyattsville, Maryland.
