Tan Guan Heng

Guan spent the first ten years of his professional career in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) industry specialising in project management and sales, particularly in concept selling, for a host of proprietary exhibitions and conferences.

The latter decade was spent at the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc., where, as the Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region presented an even greater opportunity to construct networks of partnerships, agencies and affiliates throughout the region. This included managing board members, leveraging their individual strengths and network, building consensus and occasionally lobbying for a particular interest.

In 2017, Guan made the switch to corporate training, facilitation and coaching. Since then, he has been instrumental in delivering programmes on Service Excellence to the hospitality industry, assisted in developing an in-house curriculum for in-flight sales for a major low-cost carrier and was part of a team to facilitate and coach over 1,000 staff from a major real estate developer in the areas of Resilience, Communications and Management.

A graduate from the National University of Singapore with a BA (Hon) in Political Science, Guan has continued to pursue a passion for life-long learning, as a Certified Master Performance Coach, Certified Action Learning Coach (under the World Institute for Action Learning or WIAL), Agile Coach, in Enneagram and as a Certified Emotional Intelligence Facilitator and Coach.
