Certification for Action Learning Coaches is the next step to being a Certified Action Learning Coach. This is a series of two 2-day intensive workshops that builds on the participants’ experience in the Foundations Program, by developing greater self-mastery as a means to become more effective at handling teams and effecting learning at all levels. In this workshop, participants will be able to: Master the WIAL Action Learning process, with emphasis on sharpening intervention skills Practice being a participant, a coach, and an observer, in a series of Action Learning sessions Simulate Single Problem Action Learning (SPAL) Reflect and feedback at the end of each session Discuss how to market and design Action Learning interventions, and the process for certification CALC 1 is on March 4-5 2019 CALC 2 is on April 1-2 2019.

CALC Part 1 (4 – 6 April 2019) CALC Part 2 (8 – 9 April 2019) This two session (3 days and 2 days) workshop will cover many what-if scenarios. Participants will be required to start an Action Learning program within an organization. Projects and discussion will center around successes and challenges faced by the coach. These additional four days provide participants the skills and experience they need to function as Action Learning coaches in a variety of challenging situations.

Certification Intensive

Becoming a Certified Action Learning coach enhances professional skills, increases organizational value and can lead to career advancement. This intensive program gives participants the skills and the experience they need to excel as Action Learning coaches in a variety of challenging situations. Participants will be required to attend two, two-day workshops: CALC 1 and CALC 2, and conduct several Action Learning sessions independently from the class experiences. The CALC program uses the same basic approach used in the Foundations of Action Learning program, interspersing concepts and practice. In addition, workshops use outside presenters from organizations needing real solutions. Every participant is required to take on the challenge of being an Action Learning coach for at least one session. A dedicated Senior or Master Action Learning coach works with every Action Learning team formed during CALC 1 and CALC 2 workshops. This provides for an intensive and exceptionally rich feedback process for trainees when they take on the coaching role.
