Independent leadership development consultant specialising in Action Learning on leadership development programmes. Primary client is the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), in Johannesburg, South Africa. Prior to leaving the corporate world 7 years ago I was the Head of Leadership Development at a major bank, the Standard Bank of South Africa, where we used Action Learning and global benchmarking as a process for leadership development. The formal programme content was offered by GIBS. I was the HR Manager for Dow Chemical Africa, Training Manager of Nampak Products Ltd., the major packaging and print company in South Africa. My early career was in social scinece and personnel research and I studied Social Anthropology and Psychology and hold a Master's degree in Social Anthropology. Married with two young adult chidren. Keen ultra marathon and marathon runner in my younger days and sang in a number of choirs from my childhood in Zambia and Ireland and until recently in South Africa. A naturalised South African I also hold a British passport.
