Action Learning Bringing Corporates and NGOs Together

Shannon Banks, Vice President and Chair of Fundraising, Scholarship & Grants, at WIAL, discusses the impact of Action Learning when used in a socially responsible context. With her organization Be Leadership, Shannon worked with BNP Paribas, an international bank, who brought together talent from across the organization and their social partner San Patrignano Community, a drug recovery organization in Italy, and worked through the NGO’s 4 key issues using Action Learning. The corporate leaders and the San Patrignano participants learned how they could contribute to their respective areas by teaching others in their organizations the skills they learned during these workshops.
