Dr. Arthur M. Freedman, MBA, PhD.

Master Action Learning Coach Arthur was considered a thought and practice leader in Organization Development, and consultation as well as Action Learning. He consulted with a dozens of leading corporations, non-profit organizations, and governmental organizations throughout the world including Microsoft, Mercedes-Benz, Coopers & Lybrand, the Ministry of Atomic Energy (Russia), National Education Association, Boston Consulting Group, ADP, Gordon Institute of Business (S. Africa), S. California Edison, Veterans Administration, US Defense Intelligence Agency, NIH, Houston Police Department, and Kaiser Permanente. Arthur was also on the adjunct faculty at the Carey Business School, at Johns Hopkins University. He had also been a Visiting Scholar, Center for Organizational Dynamics, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Freedman earned both his B.S. and MBA at Boston University’s College of Business Administration and his Ph.D. in Personality and Clinical Psychology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Freedman was a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Consulting Psychology. Dr. Freedman received many prestigious awards: 1994 RHR International Award for Excellence in Consulting Psychology; 2007 Harry and Miriam Levinson Award for Exceptional Contributions to Organizational Consulting Psychology; Hall of Fame Award from the National Hispanic Institute in 2011; 2012 Distinguished Psychologist in Management award from the Society of Psychologists in Management; and the Elliott Jaques Award for the outstanding Consulting Psychology Journal article of 1997. Most recently he and Skipton Leonard were jointly awarded the Leaders Worth Following Award for Excellence in Developing Consulting Psychologists awarded by the Society of Consulting Psychology, 2020. Arthur was also an Executive Board Member Emeritus for the World Institute for Action Learning.
