As an action learning coach, how would you handle the following situation:
After asking – how are we doing on a scale of 1 10? most of the participants say 6 or 7, one says 2.
I love that one participant has felt courageous enough to share exactly how they feel the group is doing. I would probe further and ask ‘what is working well’ and ‘what could be even better’. I would also ask the person who gave the 2, what would could move their score to a 3 or a 4 and then get agreement from the group as to what they are going to focus on going forward.
