I’ve observed someone turning on the A/C, did anyone notice that? what’s the impact on the team when someone reacts without the consent of the rest? how does the team want to ensure future agreements?

I would share that I have observed someone turning the air conditioning up and ask what is the impact this ha on the team? I would then follow up asking the team to how they would like to handle temperature changes in the future?

It is important to observe how the team reacts to this whole situation. After observing, I will immediately present my observation and ask the team the following question:
“I have noticed that 2 team members have interrupted the action learning session, did this affect anyone of you in a negative way? How did this affect the action learning session from a scale from 1 to 10? This will give them some time to reflect on what just happened.
No matter what the group answers, I would still ask them to come up with an idea on how to better handle this specific situation next time. This will give the team the opportunity to make agreements so that nobody is excluded in making decisions.

***NEW, IMPROVED VERSION:
It is important to observe how the team responds to this particular situation. After making observations, I will immediately present my ideas and ask the team the following question:
“I have noticed that 2 team members have interrupted the action learning session, did this affect anyone of you in any particular way? How did this affect the action learning session from a scale from 1 to 10?” This will give them an opportunity to reflect on what just happened.
Regardless of how the team answers, I would still ask them to come up with an idea on how to better handle a situation like this next time. This will give the team the opportunity to make agreements so that nobody is excluded in making decisions.

As the Action Learning Coach, I would intervene when the member returned to his/her seat from the thermostat and address them accordingly:
I observed members of the working group stopped to address the temperature. What’s the impact to the group’s learning? How should we want to handle such matters going forward?
