I might ask to talk to the original sponsors of the action learning project and determine how the needs of the action learning sessions have changed, including the problem they are looking to solve and who needs to be at the table. I might ask the sponsors to reconsider who needs to be at the action learning sessions at this point, including adding employees or leadership from other areas within the parent company and how we might introduce those people to action learning.

I would meet with the original project sponsors and check how the merger would impact the needs and objectives for the original action learning project. Depending on the impact we could either:
a.) Continue with the action learning project but adjust the team members/problem presenter to match their current needs
b.) Delay the action learning project until the situation has more clarity
c.) Present action learning to the new organization and see how it can support them in the merger
