I would intervene by saying “What question are you answering?” then wait for the participant to respond, then intervene again by saying “What is your answer?”

I would intervene by asking the team if they noticed anything about the answer being provided. And follow up with how that makes them feel – to see if it helps them or distracts them. Then with what would help them in moving forward.

I would intervene asking the group if they can remind the rules of AL. When they mention the first rule, I would answer: “How we can we assure our statements are being made only in response to a question?” so they can reflex about the importance of answering only what is asked. Also can be marked the importance of being succinct in questions and answers.

I would ask the team, “It seemed the fellow provided some information which was not related to the original question? Do you have the same observation or feeling?” If it is confirmed by the team, I would ask again, “What would be the influence?” “What we can do better in the following discussion?”
