How are we doing with energy levels and clear thinking as you work?
What is the impact on the team and your effectiveness?
What would you like to do about it?

I would lean and say ‘We have been working for many hours and I’m observing that the energy levels are very low. Is anyone else observing this? What is the impact on the group? How would the group like to move forward to address this?’

I will ask “what level of energy do we have now from 1 to 10 score?” “what is the impact on the team with this energy level?” “what do you think is the best way to achieve the goal for this session?”

I’m observing low energy. Has anyone else observed this? What is the impact of low energy on the team? How do you want to address this?

I would say eg. ‘I notice we are working for 5 hours now. What kind of impact does it have on you/us/our energy level/our focus?’. And depending on the answer I would follow their perception and decision. My intention is to only raise the awareness about what is going on, help the group make clear decisions that include voices, points of view and arguments and of each member and not to influence the direction of their decision.

As an action learning coach, I would ask my team members, “I have observed that we have been working continuously for a long time, and some of our team members are getting exhausted
Have you noticed this phenomenon?
If this continues, what impact will it have on the achievement of our learning objectives ?
In order to better solve the problem we want to solve in this action learning, what should we do next?
