As an action learning coach, how would you handle the following situation:
The teams members are locked to the table. They are adhering to the two grounds rules but not making use of any other resources.
As the Action Learning Coach I would intervene or “lean in” and ask the team: “What is the team doing well?” “What could the team be doing better?” “What actions can you take as a leader to improve the performance of the team and this session?”
The important thing at this moment is to provoke the team’s reflection on how they can be more productive, so I would make an intervention like: “From 0 to 10 how are we acting as a team?”; “What can we do better?”; “How could we enhance our participation for the benefit of our learning and the solution of the problem brought by the colleague?”
I would ask the team “how are we doing making use of all of the resources we have available to us?”
