I will ask the person using phone what the reason and what I can do differently to support the team better. As the coach I would remind the group that stated in the ground rules, I will manage the time, then ask the questions, “I’ve observed someone checking their phone for the time, did anyone else notice that? What is the impact of that on the team? What should or norm be for phone use?”, as the higher the norm, the higher they perform. What impact does it have in the group work? Depending on the answers , I would also ask : “Z”, do you need to combine or say anything to the group? (Maybe there’s something catching his attention, and talk about it can help him focus on the group) Does the group want to combine any rule about it ? I will the ask team if this is acceptable by the team and continue the session. I will also ask them what would be the impact of the whole team if we will allow it and what’s need to improve. If the participant, insists, I will ask the whole team and rate the team’s performance (asking how are we doing so far?) Reply Pratya Opaspakornkit February 25, 2019 at 5:46 am | # I’d to intervene to team and ask “Team, do we think how well PP get help from us ?” or if this still happen in second time then I’d do 2nd intervention with specific question to one that “Hi Mister/Miss how do you think by looking at phone’s time able to help PP think ?” this can leading me to tell him/her that you are dedicated as valuable person to help PP solve his/her problem, so if you are not contributed then it might impact on PP and especially your time in this session as well, what would you think ?” Reply Leave a comment You must be logged in to post a comment.
